VILLA FORMOSE IMMERSIVE – FRANCE XR PROTOTYPING RESIDENCY

由駐法國臺灣文化中心主導的2025「臺法沉浸式內容駐地開發計畫－臺灣人赴法原型駐地開發計畫」（Villa Formose Immersive-France XR Prototyping Residency），今（11）日公布獲選名單，由XR電影導演謝文毅獲選，預計11月赴巴黎104中心駐地創作4週，期間將與當地產業生態系互動交流，並發表階段性創作成果。

 

「臺法沉浸式內容駐地開發計畫」（Villa Formose Immersive）為臺法交流平台，結合兩國政府及影視機構資源，支持沉浸式內容與新媒體藝術創作者進行雙向交流，並深化臺法產業生態系的連結。本計畫獲文化部支持，並由駐法國臺灣文化中心、巴黎104中心、法國在台協會合作推動，公開徵選我國創作者1名赴法駐地創作。

 

此次經由大巴黎數位藝術雙年展（Biennale Nemo）藝術總監Gilles Alvarez、高雄市電影館XR節目統籌王冠人、法國在台協會影視專員Ana Villa、獨立策展人李懷瑾、VR製片公司Lucid Realities執行長Chloé Jarry及駐法國臺灣文化中心主任胡晴舫等6名評審審議，最終由臺灣新媒體藝術家謝文毅以其提案《OUBLIETTE》脫穎而出。

 

謝文毅擁有建築背景，對影像結構與空間張力的掌握獨具風格。首部VR作品《彼岸》（2022）即入圍紐約翠貝卡影展，並獲捷克國際動畫節VR大獎。2024年推出VR作品《暗面》則以建構與崩解的意象，引導觀眾以旁觀者視角體驗城市瓦解，探討人類觀看與理解世界的方式。評審指出，《Oubliette》延續謝文毅對人性幽暗面向的關注，展現鮮明的視覺語彙與高度的藝術性，計畫極具潛力。

The Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris announced on Aug. 11 the result of the Villa Formose Immersive - France XR Prototyping Residency program, revealing that XR film director Hsieh Wen-yee (謝文毅) has been selected. Hsieh will travel to Paris in November to undertake a four-week residency at the 104 arts center.

 

Villa Formose Immersive is a Taiwan-France exchange platform that leverages cultural and film resources from both countries to support immersive content and new media creation. The program is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, the 104 arts center, and the French Office in Taipei.

 

The jury panel comprised Biennale Nemo Director Gilles Alvarez, Kaohsiung Film Archive XR Program Director Wang Kuan-jen (王冠人), French Office in Taipei audiovisual attaché Ana Villa, independent curator Li Huai-chin (李懷瑾), Lucid Realities Executive Director Chloé Jarry, and Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris Director Hu Ching-fang (胡晴舫).

 

With a background in architecture, Hsieh Wen-yee is recognized for his distinctive spatial sensibility and narrative structure in video works. His first virtual reality (VR) piece, “Limbotopia in VR (彼岸),” won the Best VR Award at the 2022 Anifilm International Festival in the Czech Republic. In 2024, he released “Limbophobia (暗面),” which guides viewers through the disintegration of a city while exploring how humans perceive and understand the world. 

 

The jury remarked that Hsieh’s submitted work, “Oubliette,” continues his exploration of humanity’s dark side and demonstrates great potential through his unique visual language and creativity.
